Grace Ward began painting in 1971 while living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and has been very involved in art ever since. She
has studied painting in all the various mediums as well as print making, collages and assemblages. For the past three years
she has concentrated mostly on contemporary paintings and collages. She taught adult classes in oil painting in Saint John
and in Moncton for over twelve years. "Grace-fielde Studio" was established in 1988, and is open by appointment.
Grace has won several awards for her work, most recently in 2005, MAX 1 (Maritime Art Competition) and again in 2006, MAX
2. As well as participating in numerous group shows, Grace has had approximately twenty solo exhibitions. Nature has long
been a favourite subject of Grace's and this is still evident in most of her recent contemporary pieces.
