Heron Bay Gallery is pleased to announce its Fourth Maritime Artists'juried Exhibition & Competitionwhich will take
place during the month of October 2008.
PRIZES :
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd best paintings. Paintings submitted can be in any medium. The gallery will
sponsor a cash prize of $500.00 to the best painting overall. Mosaique Gallery will also sponsor a prize for their selection
of the best painting overall. Each artist may submit one work for consideration.
FORMAT :
All art work must arrive ready to hang with appropriate hardware. Each work, including frame, must not exceed 30
x 30. All art work must be original and must be for sale. Art work previously published or submitted to any other competition
or juried exhibition is not acceptable. The Gallery will retain a 30% commission fee on all sales. There is a non-refundable
entry fee of $30 per artist. The gallery reserves the right to disallow entries. Artists must be resident in one of the Maritime
provinces.
Process & Deadline:
A photograph of each entry, along with the entry form and fee must be received at Heron Bay Gallery by September 26, 2008.
Acceptance for exhibition will be based on photo sent, please ensure it is a clear representation of the piece you are entering.
A jury will screen all entries and contact those artists who have been accepted in to the exhibition and competition. Artists
accepted will be notified by telephone or e-mail by September 30, 2008. Artists screened in to the competition are responsible
for delivery and pick up of their art work. Art work accepted into the competition must be delivered to Heron Bay La Terrasse
by October 9. Unsold works must be picked up by November 10. .
